Action Sports recommends that you place a longer chipping fringe material around the full perimeter of the putting green. It not only adds an enhanced depth and look to your new green, but it also gives you a real live chipping area from any position around the green. Just like the real thing. You simulate very life-like golf conditions when you install a fringe material. Actions Sports offers 4 types of fringe materials to get just the look you want for the fringe. Our Standard fringe is 1 and 1/8” inches thick and has a close-cropped feel and look. Our Zoysia and Symbior Fringe are the two materials that best simulate the look and feel of real Grass. In fact, Symbior Fringe is the same turf used on Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers, so you know it’s tough.

Our newest material is "Best-Cut Fringe". This top-of-the-line fringe material has a denser feel and is great to chip off of towards the green.

Although sand is not required on our fringe materials, we do recommend that some sand be added. Consider it a performance chipping recommendation.
